What is WAG?
Improving, educating, and supporting the waste industry in North Carolina
Our mission is to collect, interpret, and provide relevant data, reports, and training to our members, vendors, and others who are interested in improving waste management. WAG serves all waste markets: solid waste, liquid waste, industrial waste, recovered materials, reusable materials, recycling and upcycling.
Our training, courses, and skill development work shops are created around Solid Waste Rules and Regulations. All data gathered by WAG is focused and state state.
Our Mission & Focus:
Materials for Learning
WAG’s Operational Training events are developed for the landfill or transfer station operator/manager. We include current NCDEQ Rules and Regulations that support the reasons for why we are required to do the things we do. In depth and interactive instruction, mixed in with vendor support and in the field training is integral to our training events. We listen to our members and provide up to date training that is most beneficial to their operations.
Continuing Education for Landfill Operators & Managers
Our courses are approved for CEU’s by the NCDEQ and can be applied toward renewal certifications with NCSWANA and LaBella, as we work toward developing our own, independent and recognized certification program. In addition to CEU’s, we are also able to offer PDH’s for all of our courses which are recognized by the NC Board of Engineers.
Become a member today! We encourage vendor participation within our organization.
